On the afternoon of April 29, School of Agriculture and Engineering of Guangxi Vocational & Technical College specially invited Researcher Xinqiang CHEN, former Associate Director of Guangxi Tea Science Research Institute, to host the "Basic Patterns and Development Status of Chinese Tea Industry" online Chinese tea culture training for the staff of Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona (IRITC) and more than a hundred international fellows from various ASEAN countries. Relevant leaders, such as Mr. Heri Syahrian, Director of the Research and Development Department of Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona, participated in the whole event.

On the Online Training
Researcher Xinqiang CHEN introduced the basic information of Chinese tea industry mainly from the following perspectives: the basic patterns and development status of Chinese tea industry, and the production and marketing situation of Chinese tea in 2021. He also conducted training in the following aspects: the distribution of Chinese tea regions, area of tea plantations, the output and output value of dried raw tea, the production situation of six major types of tea in China and imported tea. After the training, Researcher Xinqiang CHEN had a in-depth Q & A session and discussion and exchange with professional technical staff from IRITC and participating international tea lovers.

On the Online Training
After this online Chinese tea culture training, Silk Road Tea Institute united School of Agriculture and Engineering and Go Study Global Education for the first time to issue a certificate for the international training. Within one hour after the training, a total of around 50 people from ASEAN countries successfully applied for and received a certificate. This online Chinese tea culture training also allowed Silk Road Tea Institute to take a significant step from the international promotion and popularization of Chinese tea culture into integrated international “certification and license” training.
