On the afternoon of December 15th, based on the college’s arrangement of advancing "High-Level Vocational College" project, Guangxi Vocational and Technical College specially invited Dr. Aruna Ranjith Perera, researcher of College of Export-oriented Agriculture of Uva Wellassa University and National Tea Institute of Sri Lanka, to deliver an online tea culture webinar - “A Study of Tea Value-added Products from the Perspective of Sri Lanka”, for the 2020’s Tea Art, Tea Culture and Tea Processing Technology students in our college. This is one of the “Silk Road Tea Culture Master Class” serial online webinars we conduct for students. It was hosted by Enhai CHEN, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Dean of School of Agriculture and Engineering, and Hongmei ZHAO, Dean of College of International Education. Teachers of Tea Teaching and Research Center also attended this webinar.

On the webinar, Dr. Perera introduced in detail the tea industry and tea comprehensive processing in Sri Lanka based on the topic of tea added-value products. The content was rich, broadening the international vision of tea teachers and students, as well as developing their minds, which is the expected effect. Students felt deeply inspired and considered tea additional industries to be promising.
