Guangxi Vocational and Technical College, founded in 1965, is one of the first batch of public higher vocational colleges independently restructured in Guangxi. It is a construction unit of the national high-quality higher vocational colleges, the national high-quality college for rural revitalization talent training, and the "High-Level Higher Vocational Colleges with Chinese Characteristics and Specialty Construction Plan". Since running, the College has been rated as a national advanced unit of vocational education, a prominent college for the evaluation of the talent training level of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, a prominent unit for the construction of National Exemplary Backbone Higher Vocational Colleges, one of the first batch of 100 pilot units of modern apprenticeship system in higher vocational colleges in China, a charming campus of national vocational colleges, one of the first batch of pilot vocational colleges of comprehensive reform of higher education in Guangxi, a safe and civilized campus of the autonomous region, a civilized unit of the autonomous region and an ecological garden unit of Nanning. We have won the honorary title of "Advanced Collective for Employment of College Graduates in the Region" for 19 consecutive years. In 2018, the College won the "National College with Typical Experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Top 50 Colleges in Innovation and Entrepreneurship)", which is the only higher vocational college in Guangxi to have won this honorable title.
The School of Agricultural Engineering is a prestigious school with traditional disciplines and emerging disciplines. The School deeply implements the Party's educational work policy, closely focuses on the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people, actively serves the Rural Revitalization Strategy, takes agricultural engineering as the characteristic and serves modern agriculture as the main line, forms a multidisciplinary coordinated professional system integrating planting, breeding, testing and processing, and is committed to cultivating modern agricultural engineering and technical personnel with firm ideals and beliefs, solid theoretical foundation, good professional quality and outstanding practical ability. At this stage, the School has seven majors (including professional directions) and two professional groups of tea tree cultivation, tea processing and modern agricultural technology. 01. Tea Production and Processing Technology
A leading specialty of the national "High-Level Vocational College" program specialty group, the modern apprenticeship pilot specialty of the Ministry of Education, and one of the three learning and employment platforms (Guangxi Tea Industry Vocational Education Group, Guangxi Tea Culture Research Association, and Guangzhou Vocational Tea EXPO)
Training objective: to master the professional theoretical knowledge of tea production and processing, operation and management, and to be compound and innovative high-quality technical and skilled talents with the abilities of tea plantation planning, tea tree cultivation and management, tea processing, tea marketing and independent entrepreneurship.
Training mode: Modern Apprenticeship
Main courses: tea plantation planning and tea tree cultivation management, tea processing, tea evaluation, tea marketing, etc.
Employment direction: being able to work in tea production and processing enterprises, tea marketing enterprises, tea culture communication enterprises, tea art training institutions and other competent positions.
02. Tea Art and Tea Culture
A leading specialty of the national "High-Level Vocational College" program specialty group, the modern apprenticeship pilot specialty of the Ministry of Education, and one of the three learning and employment platforms (Guangxi Tea Industry Vocational Education Group, Guangxi Tea Culture Research Association, and Guangzhou Vocational Tea EXPO)
Training objective: to master the professional theoretical knowledge of tea art aesthetics and performing arts, tea culture communication, marketing and management, and to be a compound and innovative professional with high-quality technical skills with the abilities of tea art aesthetics, tea culture communication and tea marketing.
Training mode: Modern Apprenticeship.
Main courses: tea aesthetics and performing arts, Chinese tea culture, public relations and service etiquette, tea marketing and trade, decoration and design of tea art hall, etc.
Employment direction: being able to work in the competent positions of tea culture communication enterprises, tea art training institutions, tea marketing enterprises, tea processing enterprises and other enterprises and institutions.
